By 2024, I was surprised to learn that while the EU had restricted over 1,600 substances in cosmetics, the U.S. had regulated just 11 under federal law. As an immigrant who deeply loves America, I had always believed in its leadership and innovation—so why weren’t our beauty standards keeping up?
Determined to find skincare that reflected my values, I spent thousands on so-called “clean” products from major retailers. Time and again, I was disappointed—some were truly clean but ineffective, while others, despite their marketing, contained ingredients I preferred to avoid. I realized that if I wanted skincare that was both genuinely clean and high-performing, I’d have to create it myself.
After relentless testing and refinement, I finally had formulas that delivered without compromise. With encouragement from friends, Skin Revolt was born—a small, local, women-owned brand built on quality, transparency, and the belief that we all deserve better.

🚫 Synthetic Fragrances – Can be a source of irritation for sensitive skin.
🚫 Sulphates (SLS & SLES) – Cleansing agents that may be drying for some skin types.
🚫 Formaldehyde & Formaldehyde-Releasing Agents – Preservatives that have been reduced in use due to consumer demand.
🚫 Oxybenzone & Octinoxate – UV filters that have been restricted in certain regions due to environmental concerns.
🚫 Triclosan & Triclocarban – Antimicrobial agents that have been phased out of some products.
🚫 Talc with Asbestos Contamination Risk – While cosmetic-grade talc is regulated, some consumers prefer alternatives.
🚫 Mineral Oil & Petrolatum – Moisturizing ingredients that some individuals choose to avoid based on personal preferences.
🚫 Silicones (Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, etc.) – Commonly used for texture enhancement but not suitable for everyone.
🚫 Absolutely NO Animal Testing. - Animals are literally angels on earth and should be treated as such.
